After looking up buildings in Malta, I realized how lovely vertical the buildings were and I could play with that idea.
This was an entry into the THU 2018 Challenge.
Pushed back bg, fixed/changed details - perspective, hard edge painting changes
reference gathering and inital thumbnail sketches for figuring out the shot I wanted.

More details into the sketch and added a color wash
Flat colors
Shadows with some lighting
Darker shadows, adding more colors
Fixed the sky, started painting over the sketch lines
Changed tapestry again, worked mostly on foreground elements
Changed the sky , adding in some cloud shapes
Added more lighting on people in foreground, details to roofs, lanterns

Warmer colors adjustment
Worked on drapery in the background, pushing back elements in background with atmospheric
Darken the darker parts of the piece, since in grayscale view, the piece seemed too gray Also fixed the incorrect shadow under the bridge
Added more shadows on roof, added more warmer colors to faces of buildings
Added wind elements to clothing
Worked on shadows bridge, and some lighting elements
Fixed perspective of the doors, also fixed the left door to a reasonable height
Hard edges painting
Adding brighter brights on focal areas, also painted witch's hair to include wind movement and pushed back the flying witch in the mid- ground
little touches of material indication and extra signage
