League of Legends - 2009 (initial) champions - fan art
I got curious one day about when exactly I started playing LoL, and it turns out I started the day after Twisted Treeline map got released (March 2009)! I knew I remembered playing on that map when I first joined because of two gaming friends.
From there, I got the ambitious idea to draw all the initial champions on one canvas. Part of me wanted to treat this as a learning experience in getting into Riot Games' art style. I'm not quite sure what the other part of me was thinking, ahaha.
color 6 - edited because I forgot Teemo!
color 5 - slowly moving around the canvas
color 4 - worked up champs on left most side
color wip 3 - worked on front most champs around the canvas
color wip 2 - cleaned up some of the stray marks, and started correcting the champs' colors
color wip 1 - most colors weren't accurate for sake of separating shapes.
